Those of you who enjoy biking and running the Los Alamos Atomic Man Dusthlon is May 1st and the start is at Pinon Elementary school in White Rock. They feature two races, the Little Boy, a 4K/12K/4K race. Its just like a triathlon without the swim.. Fun. Now for the more advanced athlete and a more challenging event, The Fatman is a tad longer, 10K/40K/5K duathlon, a fantastic course. For more details log on to www.triatomics.org/duathlon. If you have always wanted to become a better mountain biker or you have always wanted to learn how to ride the trails, there is a great skills class this Saturday, April 30 from 9am-12pm at Urban Park.  Space is limited so please register at www.alignedplay.com/events/mtbclinic.shtml. This class is lead by two professional mountain bikers, Ken and Jessica Kisiel, Jessica is a licensed USA cycling coach.

This Friday April 29th is the Spring Benefit Ball for Family Strengths Network from 7pm-11pm at the historical Fuller Lodge. There will be Live music. It is a wonderful benefit for the family strengths network and is a fun night out. Tickets are $65.00 a couple and Dress is formal. The Longest running Farmer’s Market starts again May 5th. Enjoy Fresh Fruits, Vegetables, Meats, Crafts and all the Local Goodies. The Market runs through October, every Thursday morning form 7am-12pm. A little taste of Los Alamos.
